What is a 404?
404s take the liquidity of tokens and combines them with NFTs so you are getting what many feel is the best of both worlds. "NFTs with liquidity pools" or "tokens with art" are simplified descriptions.
What is a Retro 404?
A Retro 404 will be everything that a 404 offers in a different contract structure and in many cases actually offer more flexibility over a straight 404.
The biggest benefit a Retro 404 has is that it allows a project to shift into a 404 without having to re-create a new token with a separate pile of liquidity.
It allows tokens and NFTs to elevate to 404s. Add the NFTs to the tokens or add the tokens to the NFTs.
A more liquid version of what has historically been "fractionalized NFTs".
Why Retro 404?
The biggest reason Retro 404s have a place in the space is due to all of the locked liquidity already on block. Retro 404 offers a project the ability to join the 404 movement by building on their existing foundation. Additionally, there are many features we can introduce in the retro 404 build that are not possible within the 404 standard.

Retro404 SWAP Announcement Discord Bot
Our Retro404 Bot will announce all swaps performed for your Retro 404 and announce them in the channel of your choice.
Follow the steps below to invite the bot to your server:

Typing /retro will display several selections. Start with /retro watch_add. From the drop down menu, select the project you want the bot to track and announce:
Next is /retro404 setup. This will provide you with a channel list. Pick the one you want the bot to display your swaps in.
The Retro404 bot is still in beta and locally hosted. It is not 100% uptime but planned to be soon.
