The Arcade is a platform intended for high frequency use games and events. It is a blend of web2 & 3 in a combination of gas optimization efforts and convenience. Zoomers and $SCRATCH are heavily involved while other parts of our ecosystem will have lighter touches.
The Arcade will allow the centralization (off-chain) of our high frequency use games while still providing a near web3 trustless experience. All back end randomizer and math behind each game and event will be verifiable.
The Arcade will be more than just an area where we put our games but a comprehensive platform itself. You will be able to stake $Scratch (providing liquidity for the "House") and Zoomers in order to gain benefits in the form of reduces game costs or bigger farm shares.
While the value of on-chain cannot be denied, we feel we have found a good middle ground for The Arcade platform to be a mix of both. Still guaranteeing trust while adding a level of convenience.
The convenience of a one stop shop for all high use games cannot be underestimated. Waiting for transactions to complete on block can break your immersion and enjoyment. Along The Arcade platform will come several games in development.
